Waarde broeder = worthy / beloved brother
Geboren onder een gelukkige …. = born under a happy
Fake. Vincent and Theo used to talk to each other in French. And if it would be true, we would know it from the Van Gogh Museum since a long time.
It is definitely Dutch and some of the translation as given is correct such as "lucky star" [gelukkige ster]. The accent is that of the Southern Netherlands and Vincent was born and brought up in Brabant [in the village of Zundert]. Characteristic is the softer pronunciation of the "g" consonant. I would love to extract this audio and clean it up.
Any advice on how to clean it up (software)? I'd be happy to try and I am completely bilingual in Dutch and English.
