Okay. We stop oil tomorrow morning. Millions of people will starve to death within a month because the logistics industry won't have any means for transporting any food produced. As for the food, farmers' production will drop by at least 80% or something ridiculous like that. They'll have to start using back breaking techniques from the middle ages, and even then we'll have to pray the weather is good enough to save all crops.
And that's just for our food. These electric car hippies live spoiled lives taking the structure of society for granted. They have running water and electricity as if these things were a natural given right, completely ignoring all the people dedicating their lives to make sure everything keeps running.
One day we will find sustainable ways to stop relying on fossil fuels, but it won't be at the cost of millions of lives. If these people are so desperate to save the world from people's carbon footprint, they're better off killing themselves if they want an immediate solution.
